Two older sketches I decided to colour digitally.
They are caricatures based on existing persons.

Last week I participated to a manga art meeting/contest. At first I didn't really know what to do, manga is not exactly my style, I read manga, I don't watch anime, but I'm not a fun girl, I don't remember any manga characters nor do I own a smartphone (that translates to: no portable internet, thus no references).

My instict just  said do what you're best at: TROLL!!!

So, I decided to mangafy my heroine from that comic, using manga depiction clichés.

The first image depicts the process: penciling, inking, colouring, and final result; second is the final result:

So, yesterday night, after work, I ended up doing some some cool down sketches (the exact opposite of the warp up sketches, when your body says "let's go to sleep, I'm sleepy and tired" and you're like "but I wanna get this "cancer" outta my body, I'm not done yet!!!-shut up!!!", late-night sketches you do, so you can be able to tire yourself off and finally get some sleep.
And, when I was thinking "I'll just do some crap and that's it", so many incredible faces, in every pose, with  ease, popped out naturally from the tip of my pencil. I was ecstatic; it had been a while since I had drawn so beautiful faces, that I couldn't stop!!!

So, one of my foreign friends asked me if I could help her learn the names of the flowers in Greek. I decided to illustrate for her some of the most recognizable ones with their Greek names next to them and I mailed them to her. She liked them very much! So did I. I had a great time drawing them, and I also used coloured pencils, which I like a lot, but I rarely get a chance to use (maybe I have to change this!). I love flowers and plants in general, so I was glad my friend inspired me to spend some time drawing them!

I found that I had also taken some shots of the cat sketch (because "my" scanner is a crappy one), and it looks a lot more beautiful this way!
I love sepia colours, although I find browns kinda boring... Enjoy!

So, I participated in an Art Meeting last week (my very first, virginal time) and those are the result of it. Well, I kept gossiping all the time, so that's why they're so few :P What I like the most sketching all together with other artists is that you may be inspired to try things that otherwise you wouldn't think of trying, as I did in the sketch that's in the middle of my presentational collage. And I may try doing a comic in this style, something I was thinking a lot time doing, but couldn't exactly find the "correct" style.

Ok, the second one is a sketch I was asked to do. I seldom draw animals but I did this one without using any reference, so I'm kinda proud of it.
